Introduction
Teaching is a bi-polar process in which the more mature of the human society (the teacher) deliberately tailors the development of the individuals and the betterment of the human society. Thus, the teacher is the pivot of the educational process and the most important factor that determines the success or otherwise of any educational endeavor. The teacher must, therefore, possess knowledge, skills, methodology and experience that would enable him/her translate policies into practice and programmes into actions.
This course is designed to introduce students to basic principles and practice of teaching to enable them become competent teachers capable of managing teaching-learning process at the classroom level.
